Hospitality is a diverse and exciting industry and could see you working on cruise liners, in hotels, restaurants, theme parks, tourist attractions and airports. With a National Diploma you may be considered for an operational post, junior supervisory or possibly management trainee position within food, beverage or accommodation areas or in sales or administration.
This course explores the wide variety of services provided by hospitality organisations, while offering a thorough introduction to the skills required for success in the industry. There is potential for the qualification to prepare learners for appropriate direct employment in the vocational sector and it is suitable for those who have decided that they clearly wish to enter a particular specialist area of work. The extended diploma(180 credits) is broadly equivalent to three GCE A Levels(A*= 450 points see DCU'S website for calculation).
